The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with 12 leading arts and cultural institutions worldwide, marking a significant step towards enhancing global cultural connectivity. Bernard Charnwut Chan, Chairman of the Board of WKCDA, highlighted the importance of these partnerships, stating, "The signing of 12 new MOUs marks another significant milestone in expanding WestK’s international partnership network."

Key collaborations include strategic alliances by the WestK Performing Arts Division with international groups in preparation for the opening of the WestK Performing Arts Centre in 2027. Additionally, the Hong Kong Palace Museum will co-organise exhibitions with new partners, and the newly established WestK Academy will launch professional training courses and an Artist-in-Residence Programme.

The summit, themed "A New Era: Reimagining Community through the Arts," will feature discussions on sustainable development in the arts sector, with over 1,000 delegates expected to attend.
