Arundel Castle hosts 2026 jousting tournament

Arundel Castle is set to host the 2026 International Medieval Jousting Tournament from 21 to 26 July. The event will feature eight elite competitors from England, France, Canada, and the USA, divided into four teams. Spectators can expect a thrilling display of skill and chivalry as knights compete for individual titles and national honour.

The tournament promises a full programme of medieval entertainment, including falconry, fire-eating, and music. Visitors can engage in activities such as archery, axe throwing, and warrior training, whilst a living history encampment offers insights into medieval life with demonstrations of traditional crafts.

Castle Manager Andrew Lewis expressed excitement about the event's return, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome the International Medieval Jousting Tournament back to Arundel Castle for another unforgettable year.
