Visit Qatar opens registration for 2026 triathlon final

Visit Qatar, in collaboration with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and the Qatar Triathlon Federation, has announced the opening of registrations for the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final 2026. The event is scheduled to take place on 11–12 December in Qatar, following a successful debut in 2025 that attracted thousands of participants and a global audience.

Athletes can choose to compete in the signature 100km race, which includes a 2km swim, 80km cycle, and 18km run, or the Sprint Distance triathlon, featuring a 750m swim, 20km cycle, and 5km run. Registration for the Sprint Distance race is available online.

Top 10 finishers from the 2025 edition in their respective age-group categories will receive invitations to the 2026 T100 Age Group World Championship Finals. Among the returning competitors is Qatari triathlete Alya Al Hamad, who placed fourth in the 25–29 female category last year. Al Hamad expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Being involved in the first Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final was so inspiring.”

Set against Qatar’s vibrant waterfront and urban landscapes, the Qatar T100 aims to showcase the nation’s capability to host large-scale international sporting events. The event promises a unique race experience for both elite and amateur athletes. Further details, including full course maps, will be announced later this year.

Qatar continues to bolster its reputation as a hub for international sporting excellence, with the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final enhancing its sporting calendar and reinforcing its status as a premier destination for world-class events
