The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) made a striking impact at the Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show 2026, held at the Long Beach Convention Centre on 7–8 March. The Taiwan pavilion, under the theme "Waves of Wonder," was awarded the prestigious Best in Show – International award, drawing thousands of visitors eager to explore Taiwan's unique blend of natural beauty, culinary culture, and modern cities.
The pavilion featured an eye-catching giant bubble tea cup installation, complete with the mascot OhBear, which became a popular photo spot. Visitors enjoyed interactive experiences such as DIY pin badge making, paper douli hat crafting, and digital blessings via QR codes. The Formosan Dance Crew added to the vibrant atmosphere with performances of Taiwanese pop songs.
Representatives from TTA provided practical travel information, highlighting Taiwan's efficient transportation options and special travel incentives, including free half-day tours for transit passengers. Airline partners China Airlines, EVA Air, and STARLUX Airlines showcased Taiwan's excellent air connectivity and sponsored lucky draws for roundtrip tickets.
Vivian Lin, Director of TTA's Los Angeles Office, emphasised Taiwan's diverse travel appeal, stating, "Taiwan offers an incredible range of experiences from sunrise to late night." The TTA will continue its US outreach at the Dallas Travel & Adventure Show on 28–29 March, promising more cultural activities and travel incentives
