Sun PhuQuoc Airways appoints TamGP as Thai GSA

Sun PhuQuoc Airways has appointed TamGP Co. Ltd. as its Passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) in Thailand, ahead of the airline's launch of the Bangkok–Phu Quoc route later this year. This strategic move is part of the airline's "Rise to Asia" expansion plan, aiming to enhance connectivity and offer a premium travel experience, including complimentary meals and superior seating.

TamGP will manage passenger business development, expand the distribution network, and support marketing and ticketing efforts in Thailand. The partnership leverages TamGP’s expertise in the Thai tourism and aviation sectors to facilitate access to local travel agencies and tour operators.

Phu Quoc, located just over an hour from Bangkok, is gaining popularity among Thai travellers. The island, recognised by Condé Nast Traveller as a destination comparable to the Maldives, offers attractions such as 5-star resorts, the world’s longest 3-wire cable car, and unique nightly fireworks displays. Additionally, Phu Quoc provides a 30-day visa exemption for all global visitors, enhancing its appeal.

The new route is expected to connect Thailand's dynamic aviation hub with Vietnam’s premier island destination, tapping into the high demand for international leisure travel. Sun PhuQuoc Airways, developed by Sun Group, operates a modern fleet and recently signed a $22.5 billion contract to purchase 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, supporting its global expansion
