0Singapore Airlines ranks mid-table for Ramadan travel

Singapore Airlines has been ranked mid-table in the Best Airlines for Ramadan Travel 2026, despite demonstrating strong punctuality, according to a new analysis by AirAdvisor. The study evaluated 15 international carriers on their operational reliability and halal meal availability during Ramadan 2025, focusing on evening flight disruptions that could interfere with iftar timing.

Oman Air topped the list with a score of 9.2 out of 10, boasting a delay rate of just 0.43% and no evening delays during the evaluation period. Garuda Indonesia followed closely, scoring 8.8, with a balanced performance and strong passenger ratings. Etihad Airways secured third place with a score of 8.45, offering consistent Ramadan meal service.

Singapore Airlines, with a score of 6.1, ranked 11th. The airline had a low delay rate of 0.77%, but 22.5% of its evening flights were affected, impacting its overall performance. Halal meal options on Singapore Airlines typically require advance selection, which affected its ranking.

Malaysia Airlines also placed in the middle tier, scoring 7.8. It experienced a low flight delay rate of 0.93%, but 25% of its evening flights were delayed. The availability of halal meals and strong passenger reviews contributed to its ranking.

The analysis underscores the importance of on-time performance and meal availability for fasting passengers. AirAdvisor's Anton Radchenko noted, “Evening disruptions during Ramadan can be more disruptive than standard delays because they affect meal timing and fasting routines.” The study aims to help passengers plan smoother travel during Ramadan
