Sands China debuts at Hong Kong’s Art Central

The event showcases the works of three emerging Macao artists.

Sands China is set to make its first appearance at Hong Kong's Art Central from 25 to 29 March, showcasing the works of three emerging Macao artists. The company aims to highlight Macao's cultural vitality and promote its artists on an international stage. As the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise from Macao invited as an Associate Partner, Sands China will present works by Lei Ieng Wai, Leong Chi Mou, and Dor Lio Hak Man.

The Sands Gallery booth will feature multimedia paintings and thematic installations. Lei Ieng Wai's work focuses on optical exploration with structured colour fields, whilst Leong Chi Mou uses gilding techniques to evoke Macao's memory and landscape. Dor Lio Hak Man blends delicate painting styles with urban life depictions. These artists, part of the Macau Artist Society, are gaining recognition both locally and internationally.

Art Central, a key event during Hong Kong Art Month, provides a platform for creative exploration and cultural exchange. Since its inception in 2015, it has become a global meeting point for artists, collectors, and institutions. Sands Gallery, established in 2022, has hosted 12 exhibitions featuring over 60 artists from various countries, supporting Macao's cultural and creative industries.

Sands China's participation in Art Central underscores its commitment to promoting Macao's cultural sector and enhancing its international competitiveness. By providing a stage for Macao artists, the company aims to foster new momentum for the city's diversified development
