Resident Hotels, the independent hotel company known for its award-winning brand, The Resident, has announced its rebranding as The Sirius Hotel Group. This change reflects the company's ambition to grow as a specialist hotel management platform, focusing on developing and operating prime city centre hotels with the support of capital partners.

The rebranding follows a successful track record, including the conversion of four Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels and the opening of The Resident Edinburgh in late 2024. These projects have strengthened the group's reputation as a Marriott International franchisee and demonstrated its expertise in office-to-hotel conversions.

The Sirius Hotel Group plans to expand its portfolio to 31 hotels within the next six to 10 years. CEO David JM Orr stated, “Our track record shows we are a differentiated independent and specialist hotel management company.” He emphasised the group's ability to deliver exceptional returns and strong operational performance.

CFO Ameesh Shah highlighted the group's achievements in 2025, noting that key openings and conversions have reinforced its commercial foundations. “The Sirius Hotel Group is building a reputation for deep expertise, disciplined execution and a modern, data-driven operating model,” Shah added.

Looking ahead, The Resident Farringdon, a 128-room hotel, is set to open in early 2029, marking the brand's fourth London site. Designed with sustainability in mind, it will be located in the heart of the Culture Mile, offering easy access to key neighbourhoods and attractions
