IndiGo rebuilds Middle East and Europe network

0IndiGo rebuilds Middle East and Europe network

IndiGo is actively rebuilding its flight network in the Middle East and Europe amidst ongoing regional volatility. Since 3 March 2026, the airline has resumed over 165 flights, transporting more than 22,000 passengers between India and the Middle East. This effort is part of IndiGo's strategy to progressively restore its scheduled services in these regions.

From 8 March 2026, IndiGo reinstated its long-haul routes using Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, leased from Norse Atlantic Airways, connecting India with Manchester, Amsterdam, and London. The airline continues to operate flights between Athens and Indian cities Delhi and Mumbai using its A321XLR aircraft.

On 9 March 2026, IndiGo operated or planned to operate 38 flights connecting India with 12 destinations across the Middle East and Europe. These include routes such as Mumbai to London Heathrow, Delhi to Manchester, and Hyderabad to Jeddah, amongst others. Notably, flight 6E002 from London Heathrow to Mumbai was diverted to Cairo and is scheduled to depart the following day.

IndiGo is committed to supporting its customers during these challenging times and is closely monitoring developments across its stations in the Middle East. The airline is coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the safe resumption and maintenance of its services. IndiGo continues to provide real-time updates via its website and social media platforms, emphasising its dedication to the safety and security of its passengers, crew, and aircraft
