Grand Copthorne hosts ‘Flavours of Malaysia’ buffet

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore is set to host "Flavours of Malaysia," a culinary event at its Food Capital restaurant from 1 June to 12 July 2026. This buffet, in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia and supported by the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore, showcases the rich diversity of Malaysian cuisine through the expertise of five guest chefs from Johor, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, and Sarawak.

The event aligns with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, offering diners a unique opportunity to experience lesser-known Malaysian specialities. Andrew Tan, General Manager of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, emphasised that the event is more than just a buffet. "Our themed cultural buffets are designed to go beyond dining, offering guests an authentic connection to heritage, tradition, and the people behind each cuisine," he stated.

The buffet is halal-certified and features live cooking stations, enhancing the dining experience with fresh, made-to-order dishes. Executive Sous Chef Peter Pang, leading the culinary team, highlighted the diversity of Malaysian cuisine, noting that each state has its own identity through flavour and ingredients.

In addition to the buffet, The Lobby Lounge will offer a Malaysian-Inspired Afternoon Tea and a Malaysian Tiffin Lunch Set, providing further opportunities to explore Malaysian flavours. The afternoon tea includes treats like Mini Ramly Burgers and Durian Mochi, whilst the lunch set features traditional dishes such as Ayam Masak Merah.

The event promises to be a comprehensive celebration of Malaysia's culinary heritage, offering Singapore diners a taste of the nation's multicultural tapestry
