Epic Pass offers Gen Z discounted skiing access

Vail Resorts is making skiing and snowboarding more accessible to Gen Z by offering a 20% discount on the 2026–27 Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass for individuals aged 13 to 30. This initiative aims to attract young skiers and snowboarders to Whistler Blackcomb and other renowned resorts worldwide.

The discounted passes, now available at the lowest price of the year, start at $869 (US$869) for the Epic Pass and $649 (US$649) for the Epic Local Pass. Rob Katz, CEO of Vail Resorts, emphasised the importance of engaging the next generation, stating, "The future of the sport depends on the next generation of skiers and riders, and it is our responsibility to create a more accessible pathway for them."

In addition to the discounted passes, Vail Resorts is reintroducing Epic Friend Tickets, allowing early purchasers of the 2026–27 season-long Epic Pass to receive 10 half-price lift tickets. These tickets enable pass holders to share their passion for skiing with friends and family.

For those transitioning from lift tickets to passes, Vail Resorts offers up to $175 (US$175) off select Epic Pass products for guests who visited any of the company's 37 North American resorts during the 2025–26 season. This means young travellers can secure an Epic Pass for as low as $694 (US$694) or an Epic Local Pass for $474 (US$474).

The Epic Pass provides access to Whistler Blackcomb and other top-tier resorts, offering a range of experiences from curated trails to live music events. Pass holders also benefit from Epic Mountain Rewards, including 20% off on-mountain dining
