The recently concluded 16th Davao Mega Travel Sale brought together 40 exhibitors, offering new tours to Central Asian destinations and the Antarctic Peninsula.
Running from 27th February to 1st March, this year's fair cast the spotlight on discounted travel packages to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
According to Tanya Rabal-Tan, regional director in Davao for the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), the event was all about opening doors to discovery and learning, from local tourism circuits to international adventures.
In her remarks, she declared: "We say that diversity is our beauty here in the Davao Region and today, that beauty expands to the rest of the world.”
Tan likewise emphasised that the event not only boosts the tourism industry but also helps position Davao and the Philippines at the heart of every traveler's dream.
She concluded by saying: "To our travelers, the expert advice is ready, the seat sales are live and the world is waiting. Gear up, say yes, and let your next great adventure begin.”
