Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, has announced the launch of limited repatriation flights to select destinations in the Indian Subcontinent via Dammam's King Fahd International Airport. This initiative comes in response to the temporary closure of Bahrain's airspace and certain regional countries due to current developments.
The special flights will supplement Gulf Air's existing temporary network of 10 destinations, including London Heathrow, Bangkok, Mumbai, Chennai, Manila, Cairo, Frankfurt, Paris, Casablanca, and Nairobi. The airline will operate flights on specific dates, including routes from Dhaka, Cochin, New Delhi, and Trivandrum to Dammam, exclusively for passengers eligible to travel to and from Bahrain.
Passengers can book these flights through Gulf Air's website, mobile application, or authorised travel agents. The airline will also provide transportation between Bahrain and Dammam for those with confirmed bookings. Local passengers in Dammam will not be allowed to board or disembark, and no transit traffic to other destinations in Gulf Air's network will be permitted.
Gulf Air's operations to and from Bahrain International Airport remain suspended, with plans to resume once the airspace reopens. The airline emphasises that passenger and crew safety is its top priority and appreciates the understanding and patience of its customers during this period. For the latest updates, passengers are encouraged to visit Gulf Air's website or use the mobile application
