Chiva-Som Hua Hin is set to transform the traditional Thai New Year, Songkran, into a week-long retreat focused on holistic wellbeing, cultural rituals, and sustainability from 11 to 18 April 2026. This immersive experience invites guests to engage in a journey of renewal and reflection, harmonising modern science with ancient traditions.
The programme includes a variety of activities designed to restore balance physically, mentally, and emotionally. Guests can participate in expert-led sessions on longevity and emotional clarity, sound healing, and Anapanasati meditation. Traditional Thai activities such as Muay Thai and classical dance are also featured, alongside workshops in garland making and lotus folding.
On 13 April, the Thai New Year will be marked by morning alms-giving, a water parade inspired by the Songkran Goddess, and the Song Nam Phra ritual, which involves bathing Buddha images. The day concludes with a BBQ dinner and performances of classical Thai dance and Khon theatre.

Chiva-Som Hua Hin also emphasises sustainability, offering activities like mangrove explorations and workshops using locally sourced materials. The Hideaway Haven offer provides special rates starting at $870 (approx. THB 31,000++) per person per night, including wellness consultations and cultural workshops.
This initiative by Chiva-Som Hua Hin aims to provide a meaningful and authentic experience, encouraging guests to embrace the Thai New Year with a renewed sense of balance and wellbeing
