Accor and EXTENDAM have announced plans to open a 209-room TRIBE hotel as part of the Python-Duvernois redevelopment in Paris' 20th arrondissement. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the hotel will be a key component of a low-carbon, mixed-use project that includes residential units, offices, retail spaces, and a 3.3-hectare park.
The TRIBE hotel will be operated by Accor and aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification, reflecting both companies' commitment to sustainability. Philippe Bijaoui, Chief Development Officer at Accor, emphasised the project's alignment with Accor's vision for sustainable hospitality, stating, "With low-carbon construction credentials, it reflects our commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of the hotel industry."
The redevelopment project, led by EXTENDAM and partners, will also feature a 10,000 sq.m 'City of Sports' extension. Cécile Leclerc and Alexandre Guérin from EXTENDAM highlighted the opportunity to expand local lodging capacity, noting, "This project represents a rare opportunity to expand local lodging capacity whilst supporting the district’s demographic and economic momentum."
The new TRIBE hotel will offer communal areas, a comprehensive food and beverage offering, coworking spaces, and facilities for healthcare professionals and patients from nearby hospitals. This development is expected to enhance accommodation capacity and quality of life in the area, aligning with public sector objectives
